Following on from yesterday's post on Stephen Davies' list of preeple on Twitter, Michael Litman has produced a table listing agencies' presence on Twitter, which is aimed as a compliment to Stephen’s alphabetically ordered list.
I'm sure the list will get updated as more people add themselves to the list through comments so the table may change, but at the time of writing Hotwire heads up the table with a total of 16 preeple without including any twitterers from it's sister agency, Skywrite Communications. Axicom comes next and it's good to see the Rainier team with 11 Twitter users.
Although the table might not mean that much as the agencies listed vary in size and as such will have differing levels of people on Twitter, it is nice to see that Hotwire has a lot of active people on Twitter and how we recognise it as a useful tool throughout the agency, not just in our digital media practise.
Here's the list as it appears on Michael's blog:

Hi Ben,
The list is now unfortunately a bit out of date so after discussions with Stephen / Problogger a Wiki has been created. Essentially to allow anyone to edit and update themselves it will mean that the data will always be current.
If you could direct your readers to here http://ukmediatweeple.pbwiki.com/ to update that would be fantastic.
Many thanks,
M
Hi Ben,
Commented on Michael's post as well. Shiny Red has 100% of it's team (7) on Twitter, but we all use it in different ways and at different levels. I'd hate to think that In the end it just comes down to volume and numbers, as surely Twitter is about more than that.
Lewis
@Michael - thanks for setting up the Wiki. Good idea and great resource. As you can imagine there are quite a few UK based Edelman tweeters not on the list, so we'll get them added.
Great to see such a good UK community.

@Michael - Thanks for the heads up on the wiki. I'll put out a new post flagging it to my readers.
@Lewis - Completely agree. Tables like this often hide the fact that there are different size agencies and the people at those agencies are using Twitter for different things. I don't think it's a competition either, but as Justin says it's good to see such a vibrant community from the UK's PR industry.
@Justin - Looking forward to you unearthing more Edelman 'preeple'!
I agree that the numbers mean nothing. I follow a good few of those included because they are friends of mine, and know that many rarely tweet and never read other people's tweets.
The real value of twitter is seen by those who use it though, so I don't think its something we need to boast about. If you use it, you benefit, if you don't, your loss.
I know when I moved to Sydney Twitter helped me integrate with the tech/journo/PR communities much quicker than I otherwise would, and I still keep meeting people who then say "oh you're @EmVicW!".
@Emily - Good points. It's not enouygh just to be on twitter - it's how you use it and who you connect with.
Some of the most well networked people I know say that a lot of their contacts have come in some way from Twitter.
Hopefully people will remember your real name rather than just call you @EmVicW all the time!
